Trinantara Resort occupies a privileged position on the banks of the Kosi River, adjacent to the buffer zone of Jim Corbett National Park — India's oldest and most celebrated tiger reserve. Set amidst 5 acres of river-fringe sal forest, the resort's 22 cottages and rooms are designed to blur the boundary between luxury accommodation and wild nature — every unit opens directly onto the forest, with the sound of the Kosi River providing a constant natural soundtrack.
The design philosophy at Trinantara is eco-conscious luxury: the architecture uses local stone, sal wood, and natural thatch; solar panels supply 60% of the electricity; rainwater harvesting reduces mains water dependency; and the kitchen garden supplies fresh vegetables year-round. The resort holds the Jim Corbett buffer zone environmental clearances and operates in strict compliance with National Park regulations regarding noise, lighting, and waste management.
Trinantara is a fully curated wildlife experience. The resort's in-house naturalists have decades of experience guiding in Jim Corbett and arrange morning and afternoon jeep safaris into the park's Bijrani, Jhirna, and Dhikala zones. The team's knowledge of individual tigers, their territories, and seasonal movement patterns significantly increases the probability of tiger sightings. Alternative safari experiences include elephant safaris, birdwatching walks along the Kosi riverbank, night safaris in the buffer zone, and white-water rafting on the Kosi.
The resort's open-air dining area on the Kosi riverbank is one of its great pleasures — meals served under the forest canopy with occasional wildlife sightings: kingfishers, crocodiles on the opposite bank, herds of spotted deer at the waterline, and at dusk, the distant call of a barking deer announcing a predator's presence somewhere in the forest.
